PENTWATER, Mich. — On Nov. 8 a man's body was recovered from the shoreline of Lake Michigan in Pentwater. At the time, police didn't have any information to help identify the man.
Now, five days later, Michigan State Police (MSP) have reported they were able to identify the man.
While police did not release his name, they said he was a missing boater from Illinois.
"This is a very tragic time for this family and they are asking for privacy as they grieve their tremendous loss. The boaters name will not be publicly released," read a post from Michigan State Police.
MSP said on Nov. 8 that they did not suspect any foul play in the man's death.
