SARANAC, Mich. — Multiple fire departments responded to assist with what bystanders told 13 ON YOUR SIDE was a "massive" house fire Tuesday night in Saranac.
The call for the fire came in just before 7:00 p.m. The Saranac Community Fire Department's Lieutenant Charles C. Griffin said the fire was caused by a dryer, though exactly what happened with the dryer to cause it is not yet known.
Griffin also said the single family home was a total loss from all the damage. However, thankfully there were no injuries in the incident as the family was inside but made it out safely.
