GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The iconic autumn displays at Frederik Meijer Gardens are back for another year, this time with a new name and timeline.

Now called "Mums at Meijer Gardens," the annual display will feature thousands of mums and other seasonal plants both inside the conservatory and greenhouse and around the grounds.

In the BISSELL Corridor, local florists will design new arrangements each week. Florists from New Design Floral, Horrocks Market, Crescent Floral & Gifts, Eastern Floral, Kennedy’s Flowers & Gifts and more will be featured.

Outdoors, autumn plantings will be taking over all 158 acres of the gardens, from the Lena Meijer Children’s Garden to the amphitheater.

There will also be seasonal events on Tuesdays throughout the month. You can visit the Michigan's Farm Garden to see the autumn produce being grown there—including gourds and massive pumpkins. There will also be pumpkin carving demonstrations, lawn games and more.

"We invite our guests to experience Autumn at Meijer Gardens as we transform Meijer Gardens into a vibrant celebration of the season," said Steve LaWarre, Senior Vice President at Meijer Gardens. "Surround yourself in the stunning displays of mums and other seasonal plantings, located throughout our indoor and outdoor areas. We look forward to welcoming you to our Tuesday evening activities, which are bigger and better than ever this year."

The special events will be held Tuesday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in addition to the gardens' annual events like Hallowee-Ones and their Glow Garden.

Mums at Meijer Gardens runs from Oct. 1 until Oct. 31. See the full schedule here.
