Here's the 3 'hottest ZIP codes' in Michigan, according to Realtor.com

Some of the Michigan cities mentioned by Realtor.com aren't what people normally think of when talking about popular home buying markets.

MICHIGAN, USA — Three Michigan cities are considered to be among the "Hottest Zip Codes in America" when it comes to housing market demand, according to Realtor.com.

The results of the survey conducted by Realtor.com point to Midwest markets having the most demand, followed by "well-located" markets in the Northeast.

Michigan was home to three of the hottest zip codes in 2024, according to Realtor.com, up from only two the year before.

The state's hottest zip code is Livonia (48154), which is located west of Detroit.

    • Homes in this zip code stay on the market for a median of 21 days and sell for a median price of $328,000. 
    • Listings in this zip code also saw three times the average views compared the rest of the United States.
    • Metro area: Detroit-Warren-Dearborn
  • 31st - East Lansing (48823)
    • Homes in this zip code stay on the market for a median of 27 days and sell for a median price of $320,000. 
    • Listings in this zip code also saw two and a half times the average views compared the rest of the United States.
    • Metro area: Lansing-East Lansing
  • 44th - Alpena (49707)
    • Homes in this zip code stay on the market for a median of 31 days and sell for a median price of $192,000.
    • Listings in this zip code also saw nearly three times the average views compared the rest of the United States.
    • Metro area: Alpena
