MACKINAW CITY, Mich. — The Might Mac has reopened to all traffic Monday morning after it closed due to falling ice.
Ice formed on the bridge's towers and cables from recent fog spats. Ice falling onto the road below presents dangers to vehicles driving.
A few hours after the closure, officials said drivers could return to the bridge at reduced speeds.

According to the Mackinac Bridge Authority, officials say they've closed the bridge 28 times for ice.
The most recent closure was on April 3, 2022, when the bridge was closed for six hours and 57 minutes.
Officials said falling ice closures typically happen in January, February, March or April.
