KENTWOOD, Mich. — UPDATE: A family friend who has been facilitating the search efforts told 13 ON YOUR SIDE Karen Sorensen was found safe on Friday, June 14.

Police are asking for the public's help locating a missing woman from Kentwood.
Karen Sorensen, 59, walked away from her home around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to police. She is reported missing from the 4700 block of Cavalcade Drive SE.
Karen reportedly has a cognitive disability.
Ring camera video in the neighborhood showed her wearing light-colored leggings and a sweatshirt. She stands about 5'4" and weighs about 125 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.
