WYOMING, Mich. - Good Friday marks the final fish fry Friday of Lent and your final chance to taste the best fish fry in West Michigan.
According to our viewers, that distinction goes to the Knights of Columbus, Council 4362 in Wyoming.
More than 4,000 people voted in the finals, between the Knights and St. James Catholic Church in Montague. 64% of the vote went to Council 4362 and 36% went to St. James.
"We couldn't be prouder to have shared the stage with you," said fish fry coordinator Tony Arbanas to the Knights' counterparts on the lakeshore.
Arbanas says the Wyoming Knights have been doing their fish fry for 25 years.
Here's what's on the menu:
- All you can eat Alaskan pollock, baked or fried
- French fries or a baked potato
- Macaroni and cheese option for kids
- Coleslaw
- Rolls
- Condiments including malt vinegar & Frank's Red Hot
- Pop, water and coffee
- Alcohol is available to buy
You can also enjoy eight screens to watch sporting events and you can play Keno games.
If you cant make it to either Wyoming or Montague to enjoy a fish fry, the other participants that made it to the "Fishy Four" were St. Alphonsus Church, the champion of the Grand Rapids region, and the Marne Lions Club, the champion in the "Best of the Rest" region.
In case you missed it, last week the Knights and St. James came on our show to show off what makes their events so wonderful. You can see that video below.
