MSP report missing Delton man found dead after K-9 search

Hodge was last seen on Friday, Nov. 8. Police say he was last seen by "someone other than his wife."

DELTON, Mich. — Michigan State Police (MSP) reported Thursday night that 76-year-old Michael John Hodge from Delton has been found dead after going missing over the weekend.

MSP said they found Hodge's body during an "extensive" K-9 search. They did not share where his body was found.

"The MSP would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Hodge’s family, friends, and all those who knew him. This is truly the most unfortunate outcome for us all," read a post to X from MSP.

MSP also thanked everyone who assisted in the search.

Hodge was last seen on Friday, Nov. 8. Police say he was last seen by "someone other than his wife."

Hodge had Alzheimer's, during the search his caretaker said he could possible be confused about where he's at.
