MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — The man who pleaded no contest to inappropriately touching multiple children at Michigan's Adventure has been sentenced.

39-year-old Benjamin Koche was charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct, one victim being under 13 and another being between 13-16. Both are felonies.

He was sentenced Thursday to 12 months in Muskegon County Jail on each charge. He will then serve three years of probation.

According to a 13 ON YOUR SIDE crew at the sentencing, the victims' families asked for Koche to not be sent to prison.

The incident happened on July 22 at Michigan's Adventure. Michigan State Police took a report of a man touching young girls in the wave pool area. Authorities took Koche into custody at that time.

Investigators believed there were six total victims in the case.

Koche denied all accusations, according to a probable cause document filed in the case. He pleaded no contest to the charges in September.
