MUSKEGON, Mich. — All in-person classes at Muskegon Community College (MCC) have been canceled Wednesday following a threat.
MCC officials say a threat was made late Tuesday night and police were contacted. The investigation found no imminent threat to the school.
However, all MCC buildings will be closed Wednesday and in-person classes were canceled. Online classes will still take place.
"Our priority is student safety and well-being," MCC's website reads. "Campus is closed today out of an abundance of caution."
The Muskegon Police Department said someone indicated they would harm themselves on one of MCC's social media accounts. Authorities found the person and took them to the hospital to get help.
