MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — Two days after severe storms hit West Michigan, Muskegon County officials are declaring a state of emergency.
Muskegon County was one of the hardest-hit areas in the storms. In some areas wind speeds got up to 70 mph.
Trees came down on homes, cars and roadways.
Immediately after the storm, officials said 50% of roadways in the county were impassable due to downed trees and wires.
