MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Police Records front desk at the Muskegon Police Department will be changing its hours later this month.

Beginning Friday, April 19, the front desk will be closed on Fridays.

Staff made this change to align employees' schedules with other clerical staff at the City of Muskegon who only work four days a week.

This means you will be unable to pick up or purchase beach parking passes; request police records, traffic reports or gun permits; register bikes; or pay parking tickets in person on Fridays.

The front desk will be staffed from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The vestibule in the police department will still be open 24/7 with a phone that will connect you with a police officer on duty. Officers will continue to be staffed at all times. If there is an emergency, call 911.
