MUSKEGON, Mich. — A Muskegon family is mourning the death of a beloved motorcycle enthusiast who was killed in a crash this weekend.
Muskegon Police said a truck driving in the Apple Avenue and Roberts Street area crossed the center line Sunday evening and crashed into a motorcyclist head-on.
The family of that motorcyclist identified him as 38-year-old Nathan Conrad.
His wife Mary Conrad told 13 ON YOUR SIDE he loved to ride his bike and was loved by everyone around him.
She says he was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, and he didn't deserve what happened to him.
The Muskegon Police Department said Tuesday they believe the truck's driver crossed the centerline, and they're working to figure out why.
The truck's driver went to the hospital with minor injuries, and has since been charged with a misdemeanor traffic violation causing death, police said.
