Search continues for 2 sisters who went missing from Kentwood

Police said Samantha Ramirez-Garcia and Nitza Guadalupe Ramirez-Garcia never showed up for school Tuesday morning.

KENTWOOD, Mich. — The search continues for two girls missing from Kentwood.

Police said Samantha Ramirez-Garcia and Nitza Guadalupe Ramirez-Garcia never showed up for school Tuesday morning.

Samantha is 15-years-old and Nitza is 10-years-old. According to neighbors, the two are sisters and live near Victoria Avenue and 48th Street, about a 20-minute walk to Kelloggsville High School.

15-year-old Samantha Ramirez-Garcia is 5 feet tall and 140 pounds with black hair and dark brown eyes. 10-year-old Nitza Guadelupe Ramirez-Garcia is 4 feet 10 inches, 100 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police said they did not have a description for what either girl might be wearing.
