NORTON SHORES, Mich. — Two people from Norton Shores were killed this weekend in a crash.
The Norton Shores Police and Fire Departments responded to a wreck at the intersection of Grand Haven Road and Sternberg Road on Saturday around 4:30 p.m.
Police said an 84-year-old was driving a Honda CRV when the driver didn't stop at a red light.
The SUV struck an oncoming Honda Accord. Firefighters had to pull that 71-year-old driver from their vehicle and rush them to a local hospital where they later died.
The 84-year-old in the SUV died at the scene.
No one else was involved or injured.
