OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. — A 19-year-old was killed Saturday afternoon when the side-by-side vehicle they were riding in lost control and rolled.
The crash happened just after noon on East Madison Road near Maple Island Road. Deputies say a 31-year-old Grand Rapids man had been driving a 2014 Kawasaki Side-by-Side vehicle with two 19-year-old passengers.
The crash happened when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a gravel stretch of road. Deputies say the vehicle rolled and the 19-year-old in the backseat was killed.
The driver and the other 19-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and refused medical care at the scene, according to deputies.
The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
