OTSEGO, Mich. — The City of Otsego is preparing to host its annual Hometown Christmas event to welcome in the holiday season.
The festivities begin on Saturday, Dec. 2 with the holiday farmers market running from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Otsego Church of God.
Starting at 4 p.m., the pavilion will be full of dining options and holiday activities including food trucks, handbell performances and a community dinner. Hayrides along the riverfront will start at this time as well and continue through 5:30 p.m.
Santa will make two visits to the pavilion from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. During his visits, there will be cider, donuts and hot chocolate available.
There also will be a live nativity scene at 4:45 and 5:15 p.m.
A parade on M89 will begin at 6 p.m. and there will be a tree lighting at 6:30 p.m.
The night will conclude with live music at Liquid Note at 8 p.m.
