OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — Judge Bradley Knoll, the Chief Justice of the 58th District Court, was arrested on Dec. 13 according to court records.
He is facing a charge of assault and battery on his wife, which is a misdemeanor. If convicted, he faces up to 93 days in jail and a $500 fine.
Knoll is expected to make his first court appearance next month in the same court he presides in before fellow Judge Craig Bunce.
The Muskegon County Prosecutor DJ Hilson was appointed special prosecutor to present the case on behalf of the state.
