17-year-old Holland boy in custody after allegedly robbing teen girl at gunpoint

The teen said she had just finished filming a TikTok video when a man with a gun robbed her.

HOLLAND, Mich. — A 17-year-old Holland boy is in custody after allegedly robbing a teenage girl at gunpoint in Holland Township last Friday.

Deputies say the robbery happened around 1 a.m. in the 500 block of Butternut Drive inside the Leisure Estates mobile home park. 

When investigators arrived at the scene, a 14-year-old girl said she had just finished filming a TikTok video when a man with a gun robbed her. She said he took cash, but it is unclear how much was taken.

Investigators say that the girl was with four of her friends at the time of the robbery. No one was injured in the incident, deputies say.

The 17-year-old was taken into custody around 2:45 p.m. on the same day as the robbery.

He is currently being held at the Ottawa County Juvenile Detention Center.
