Suspect identified after teen stabbed on New Year's Day at Allendale party

Deputies say the 17-year-old victim has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

ALLENDALE, Mich. — 18-year-old Noah Randolph from Allendale Township has been identified as the suspect in a stabbing that occurred on New Year's Day.

The incident happened at a home in Allendale Township near Grand Valley State University. Around 1 a.m., Randolph allegedly attacked a 17-year-old boy with a knife after getting into a dispute at a party.

Deputies said the 17-year-old victim was taken to a hospital with multiple injuries. He has since been released and is expected to make a full recovery.

Randolph was arrested later Monday morning and was charged with one count of Felonious assault and arraigned Tuesday. His bond was set at $10,000. He has been released after posting bond.

Deputies said the teens are not connected to GVSU.
