OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — A man is recovering after being hit by a vehicle while he was riding his bike Tuesday morning.
Deputies say the crash happened around 10:39 a.m. at the intersection of James Street and US-31 in Holland Township. The 61-year-old Holland man had been riding his bike eastbound on James Street when he attempted to cross US-31.
Deputies say the man did not stop at the red light and was hit by a southbound vehicle. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 48-year-old Holland woman, was not injured.
The intersection was briefly closed, but has since reopened.
