OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — An Ottawa County woman is facing charges after she allegedly embezzled over $120,000.
44-year-old Mandy Barlow, of Robinson Township, was taken into custody and arraigned last week. She has been charged with embezzlement over $100,000 and use of a computer to commit a crime.
The investigation began after a report was filed in February. Deputies responded to Doltek Enterprises in Crockery Township, which makes wooden parts for furniture makers.
Customers had reached out to staff about not receiving payment for services, deputies say, prompting employees to investigate. Discrepancies were found in the company's financial records, and staff called the sheriff's office.
Further investigation found that over $120,000 had been diverted from business accounts to personal accounts belonging to Barlow between August 2023 and January 2024.
Barlow was released from Ottawa County Jail on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond after her arraignment.
