GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The official numbers are in for the 2024 Stuff the Bus event and The Heart of West Michigan United Way and 13 ON YOUR SIDE are proud to announce that donations were up almost 60% from 2023.
A total of 39,781 school supply items were donated from community members and 75 companies. Two busses were stuffed full with the items that will benefit students across dozens of schools.
United Way says that school supply donations are more important now than ever with the cost of school supplies on the rise.
In 2023, 13 ON YOUR SIDE and its community partners gathered over 25,000 school supply items with the help of 49 participating companies.
