KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Michigan State Police (MSP) are investigating a crash that sent a pedestrian to the hospital Thursday morning in Kent County.
The crash happened at the intersection of Crahen Avenue NE and Fulton Avenue NE in Grand Rapids shortly before 7:15 a.m.
An initial investigation by MSP found that the driver of the car was making a turn and had a green arrow when they hit a pedestrian crossing the road. Police believe that the driver did not see the pedestrian when making the turn.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital in serious condition, MSP said.
Police closed the road for about an hour. The crash is still under investigation by MSP.
