COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. — A pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition Thursday morning after being hit by a car while crossing the street, according to Michigan State Police Grand Rapids troopers.
Troopers said around 7:50 a.m. a 34-year-old man was hit while crossing the street on northbound Alpine Avenue at the intersection of Alpenhorn Drive NW and Henze Drive.
He was hit by a minivan driven by a 27-year-old man from Newaygo, troopers said.
According to deputies, the pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition and the driver of the minivan was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
