BARRY COUNTY, Mich. — A person was found dead in a fiery Baltimore Township crash on Saturday morning, according to the Michigan State Police Wayland Post Troopers.
MSP said around 11:30 a.m. they received an iPhone emergency notification that indicated a possible crash at E. Ickes Road near Bird Road.
Troopers said when they got to the scene they found a pickup truck crashed into a tree and "fully engulfed" in fire.
MSP said an unidentifiable victim was found dead inside the truck. Their identity will be determined by a medical examiner.
Troopers said the cause of the crash is unknown at this time, but it is being investigated.
