GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A restaurant on Grand Rapids' westside is closing.

The Jolly Pumpkin, a pub-style restaurant on Bridge Street in Grand Rapids, closed its doors over the summer. The restaurant that replaced it, Pide and Stick, announced its doors are also closing before the end of the year.

Pide and Stick took over the 428 Bridge Street NW location just four months ago. They served pide, which is Turkish flatbread, as well as shawarma and kebabs.

Pide and Stick posted on their Facebook just a week ago, encouraging customers to buy gift cards for Christmas.

This replaced the Jolly Pumpkin on Bridge Street 4 months ago. They recently posted on Dec.  3rd encouraging people to get gift cards for Christmas.

Staff confirmed the restaurant is currently closed.

A sign posted to the front door reads: "This location has closed permanently. Happy holidays, you filthy animals."

The restaurant group has other Michigan locations in East Lansing and Traverse City.
