GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Power has been restored to all but one customer who should have their power back by Sunday night, according to Consumers Energy.
Consumers Energy said the official cause of the outage was a failed insulator.
Nearly 8,500 customers were without power due to a power outage in the Grand Rapids area.
The outages were first reported around 2 p.m. on Sunday on the Consumers Energy outage map.
According to the map, power was expected to be turned back on by 11:15 p.m. Sunday.
