GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — You may have seen or heard about graphic anti-abortion advertisements that appear on ABC News programming and on 13 ON YOUR SIDE.

These ads are paid for by anti-abortion activist and presidential candidate Randall Terry.

The Federal Communication Commission says broadcasters are “prohibited from censoring or rejecting political ads that are paid for and sponsored by legally qualified candidates."

Randall Terry and his running mate Stephen Broden are on Michigan's presidential ballot representing the Constitution Party along with twelve other states.

This ad will air within ABC programming like "The View," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and "ABC News Tonight with David Muir" this week.

This 30-second advertisement is a paid political ad, and ABC News and its affiliates like WZZM are required by federal law to air it.

Broadcast news networks and their local affiliates are barred from censoring or editing ads submitted by political candidates.

Before the advertisement airs, you'll see this legal disclaimer:

The following is a paid political advertisement, and the ABC Television Network is required to carry it by federal law. The advertisement contains scenes that may be disturbing to children. Viewer discretion is advised.

And then immediately after the ad airs, you'll see this disclaimer:

If you want to share any concerns or have additional questions, you can reach out to the FCC.
