KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Robinette's Apple Haus and Winery is celebrating the 75th anniversary of Peanuts in a unique way.
Each year, Robinette’s picks a different corn maze design. This year, it’s Charlie Brown accompanied by a pumpkin.
The design is a nod at the iconic fall film, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
The design was created in collaboration with The MAiZE Inc., a consulting company that designs mazes across the U.S. Peanuts Worldwide selected over 75 farms in the nation to host the commemorative mazes, including Robinette's.
This year's maze has a GPS tracker to ensure participants find their way through the maze without getting lost.
"We've got a QR code just behind me here that you scan when you enter the maze, and that'll show your live location on top of the map," Allan Robinette, operation manager said. "It'll show you where you've been, so you can help navigate your way through the maze that way. And as you get to each checkpoint in the maze, it'll show you another part of the Great Pumpkin story."
In addition to exploring the corn maze, Robinette’s is selling their classic fall-themed baked goods, cider and apples this season.
"I know fall hasn't officially started, but we here at Robinette's, start right after Labor Day," Robinette said. "We've got our corn maze, we've got our cider mill running. We've got hot cider, hay rides on the weekends And, yeah, we're ready to roll."
