GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — It may be the beginning of fall, but a local charity wants to know if they can count on your help this holiday season.
The Salvation Army in Kent County will open applications on Monday, Sept. 30 for their Christmas charitable drive.
The program helps provide Christmas gifts for thousands of children across West Michigan every year. Applications close Dec. 2.
The Salvation Army in Kent County distributed more than 17,000 gifts last year. That's 4,000 children receiving presents who may otherwise not get any.
This year, they hope to help even more. And they want your help to do it.
