The 16-year-old driver has been cited for failing to yield right-of-way.

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — The Holland Department of Public Safety responded to a crash Monday afternoon involving a middle school bus and car.

The incident happened shortly before 3 p.m. when a 2012 Ford Fusion collided with a school bus on 373 East 24th Street.

Investigators say the 56-year-old bus driver was travelling westbound, passing the eastern entryway to Holland Middle School, when a car pulled out of the driveway and hit the side of the bus.

The 16-year-old driver has been cited for failing to yield right-of-way.

Officials say no one was injured, and that the 32 students on the bus were put on other buses for rides home.
