ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. — Several people are in the hospital after a crash in Nottawa Township on Saturday, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said crews responded to a crash on Nottawa Road near Wasepi Road.
According to deputies, the initial investigation shows that a 16-year-old Mendon resident was driving a car northbound on Nottawa Road.
The car then crossed the center line, crashing head-on into a southbound van, deputies said.
Two juvenile passengers in the van were taken to a local hospital by helicopter. Deputies said multiple other adult and juvenile passengers were taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
At this time, deputies said their conditions are unknown.
The crash remains under investigation.
