GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — Take the leap with Skydive Grand Haven this July and you may become part of a world record.

The inaugural World Skydiving Day will take place July 13. It's a celebration of the once-in-a-lifetime experience and a chance to set a new record.

Participants from around the world will attempt to set a record for the most skydives done in a single day. Skydive Grand Haven will join the U.S. Parachute Association, Australian Parachute Federation, British Skydiving, Canadian Sport Parachuting Association and other worldwide associations in the attempt.

“At Skydive Grand Haven, we're incredibly honored to be part of World Skydiving Day," said Haley Gwinn, dropzone manager at Skydive Grand Haven. "This event not only allows us to share our passion for the sky with a global community, but also to contribute to an extraordinary world record attempt that anyone and everyone can be a part of. We view this day as a celebration of adventure, unity, and the absolutely inexplicable experience of skydiving. We can't wait to make history together with everyone who joins us.”

The record includes tandem skydives, as well as jumps made by licensed skydivers. Anyone who participates can order a certificate to show they were part of the World Skydiving Day Record.
