SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. — A 24-year-old South Haven woman who allegedly pointed a gun at another customer at a McDonald's drive-thru was arrested Tuesday morning.

Police say the woman had been in the drive-thru in South Haven when she got into a "verbal altercation" with another driver. She then allegedly took out a black handgun and pointed it at the other driver.

Because of the time of day and proximity, South Haven High School was placed under lockdown for about 10 minutes.

Responding officers found the woman sitting in her car waiting for her food. Police say they found a 9mm handgun under the driver's seat.

She was arrested and charged with felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapon. She was lodged at the Van Buren County Jail.
