SPRING LAKE, Mich. — A woman was injured early Monday morning when she was hit by a car in Spring Lake.
Deputies say the crash happened in the intersection of E Exchange Street and N Lake Street around 7:30 a.m. A 22-year-old Spring Lake Township woman had been driving east when she stopped at the intersection and hit a pedestrian when turning onto N Lake Street.
The driver called 911 for help and remained at the scene. She was uninjured.
The pedestrian, a 62-year-old woman, was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital for treatment. Deputies say she had suspected internal injuries.
The woman was in the crosswalk when the crash happened, according to deputies.
This incident remains under investigation.
