GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — One person was taken into custody early Saturday morning after a standoff with police.

According to the Grand Rapids Police Department, officers were sent to a home on Lafayette Avenue SE around 2 a.m. for a domestic situation.

The subject refused to exit the home and a tactical team was called in, police said.

Officers said the subject eventually surrendered and was taken into custody without issue.

It's unclear what led up to the standoff situation.

The road was blocked off for more than an hour while the standoff occurred.
