MONTCALM COUNTY, Mich. — A suspect is still on the loose after attempting to rob a Montcalm County gas station, the Sheriff's Office says.

The situation unfolded around 2:10 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Ago station on the corner of South Sheridan Road and Carson City Road in Fairplain Township, police say.

The suspect walked into the store and demanded money. The clerk refused and the suspect left.
