If there's a teacher in your life who you think deserves some recognition, here's your chance!
13 ON YOUR SIDE Mornings is launching Teacher of the Week.
Here's how it works:
Send in your nominations to our email at news@13onyourside.com or text us at 616-559-1310. Make sure to include a short explanation of why the educator deserved to be recognized, as well as a photo.
Then every Monday, a winner will be announced.

Teacher of the Week Winners
On Dec. 6, the winner of Teacher of the Week was Megan Klawiter with Central Elementary School in Grandville. Klawiter started her career in sales, but said it wasn't rewarding for her. She went back to school and became a teacher. She was nominated for her dedication both inside and outside the classroom.
On December 20, the winner of Teacher of the Week was Ionia High School teacher Chad Rhynard. He's an English teacher and is also the school's head football coach. Rhynard is described as a mentor for his students and players with a focus on teamwork. He reaches his students both in the classroom and on the field.
