OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. — A 16-year-old who was driving a moped was airlifted to a hospital after he collided with a car in Oceana County.
The crash happened Monday around 10 p.m. in the intersection of W Tyler Road and 72nd Avenue. The teen had been driving a moped north on 72nd Avenue when he collided with an eastbound vehicle, according to deputies.
He was found unresponsive at the scene. He was then taken to a nearby hospital and airlifted to Grand Rapids. Deputies say he remains in critical condition on Tuesday.
It is believed that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
