GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A 17-year-old girl is expected to survive after being hit by a bullet at a gathering on Grand Rapids' west side early Sunday morning.

Police said the teen was at a party near the area of Leonard and Quarry NW when shots were fired.

Police said they don't believe the teen was the target and that she likely "caught an errant bullet."

The teen was shot in the forearm and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said they don't have any suspects and weren't sure if the shooting was targeting someone else.

However, police said no one else was hurt in the shooting.
