HOLLAND, Michigan — One pregnancy, three kids and zero sleep. That's the reality for a Holland-area family who just welcomed three new bundles of joy into the world.
Stacey Palmberg went into labor on Jan. 25 at Holland Hospital's Boven Birth Center. Around 8 a.m., she and her husband, Peter, welcomed three new additions: Marjorie, Magnolia and Fynn.
Proud grandma Karen Klingberg was there to see it all. She's a nurse at the birth center and is thrilled with the new family members.
“Whether babies come one at a time, two at a time, or even three at a time, our special care nursery allows us to care for the littlest members of our community, and for that we are very grateful," said Nicole Huisman, Boven Birth Center director.
Triplet births in the US remain rare, accounting for approximately 78.9 births out of 100,000 in 2022, according to the CDC.
