GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — All will be merry and bright in Grand Rapids this December for the 27th Annual Uptown Shop Hop.
Uptown GR Inc. announced that on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 3 to 9 p.m. the entire district of Uptown Grand Rapids will be filled with holiday cheer and treats.
Visitors are encouraged to come out and enjoy eating, shopping and spending the holidays with small, independently-owned businesses throughout Eastown, East Hills, Wealthy Street and East Fulton.
More than 150 businesses are participating in the shop hop and are excited to join in the merriment with live entertainment, interactive installations and more.
"“This year we’re delighted to welcome friends new and old to come discover the magic of our district, build rapport with neighbors, and support our unique local businesses, both those which are time-trusted district traditions, and those which are new to our unique and special business community," said Uptown GR Inc. Executive Director Ingrid Miller.
The free Jolly Trolley services will once again be available to transport shoppers between districts. A map of this year's routes can be found here.
This year, Uptown GR Inc. said there will be more information, signage and maps, as well as an increased number of event staff and ambassadors, to help visitors navigate the four districts.
