An 'I Voted' sticker competition is happening in Michigan for the first time. Here's some examples of competitors.

MICHIGAN, USA — Michigan residents, it's time for the big vote—and no, we're not talking about the upcoming presidential election

It's time for the first-ever public 'I Voted' sticker competition in the state.

The stickers will be handed out at the November 2024 election. The competition, launched in May by Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, allowed students enrolled in Michigan schools and residents the chance to submit for the competition.

“Thank you to all of the Michigan students and residents who created a design for our state’s first ‘I Voted’ sticker contest,” said Secretary Benson. “Every Michigan voter should walk out of the polls with pride, knowing that their voice has been heard. Now, we can share that pride in our democracy with a sticker designed by some of our state’s talented and creative artists.”

‌More than 480 people submitted for the contest. The Michigan Collegiate Student Advisory Task Force decided on the 25 semifinalists in each category: elementary/middle school, high school and general, which was open to residents of any age.

Three winning designs will be selected from each separate category. Those stickers will be available for local clerks to order for their polling locations.
