WALKER, Mich. — One was person was injured in a shooting Monday that stemmed from an "altercation" in Walker, according to police.
Police say it happened around 3:30 p.m. at a home in the 900 block of Cassandra Court. While Walker officers were making their way to the area, the Grand Rapids Police Department responded to reports of a shooting victim in a vehicle near Lake Michigan Drive and Maynard Avenue.
Police say the victim was involved in an "altercation" at the home on Cassandra Court.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This was a targeted shooting, according to police.
