Byron Township crash leaves woman seriously injured

According to the Kent County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 1:50 p.m. at 76th Street and S Division Avenue.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A Wayland woman was seriously injured in a Byron Township crash on Friday afternoon. 

According to the Kent County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 1:50 p.m. at 76th Street and S Division Avenue. 

Deputies said a 61-year-old Wayland woman was driving a Ford Taurus southbound on Division Avenue when there was a crash with a northbound Chevy Silverado driven by a 69-year-old Byron Center man. 

The woman was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and the man had minor injuries, deputies said. 

KCSO's Traffic and Safety Unit is investigating the crash.
