STANTON, Mich. — Karen Todd's love for the Detroit Lions spans decades — and her collection shows it.
"It's been my whole life," Todd said.
As her shrine to her favorite team continues to grow, everyone who sees it isn't surprised.
The stand below her TV, where she watches every away game, is packed to the brim.
The area is full of her bobbleheads, Barry Sanders football cards, a Lions poncho she picked up in Mexico and even a gingerbread house replica of the recent Lions vs. Vikings game.
"Like I say, my coworkers joke all the time that they think I'm crazy, but I it's just what I eat, sleep and breathe," Todd said.
The outside of the house hosts a giant Lions helmet, a handmade sign with the team's logo and Honolulu blue and white Christmas lights.
Parts of the mini museum have existed through the 0-16 season and the Matt Patricia era, which Todd said she feels some disappointment and resentment towards.
But, things are looking up, and super fans like Karen are no longer hanging onto the past.
"They know what they want," Todd said. "I think that there has been incredible players that have been brought to the table...Truthfully [I] think that not only are they looking at talent, but they're looking at culture, they're looking at how the player performs on and off the field."
Looking to the future, Todd's dedication to the Lions also involves training the next fanbase.
"I have a two year old daughter, and she knows the entire fight song," Todd said.
Detroit will travel to Dallas on Saturday. The 8:15 p.m. ET game will be aired on WZZM 13.
