Whitehall Police warning drivers to stay off roads due to storm damage

The police say that crews are out and working to clear away the roadways, but several roads are still impassable.

WHITEHALL, Mich — The Whitehall Police Department is asking drivers to stay off the roads following severe weather Tuesday morning that caused many downed trees and power lines.

Around 7:30 a.m., the police department issued the warning on their Facebook page. They are warning that you shouldn't drive in the area unless necessary and that drivers should not drive around barricades or tape.

The police say that crews are out and working to clear away the roadways, but several roads are still impassable.
