GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Wolverine Worldwide is in the final stages of a "feasibility study".. for the future of the House Street area, contaminated by PFAS.

As part of an agreement made last year, the company will file the study with the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.

The company is proposing two options for the property's future.

That plan includes using vegetation to help take care of some of the contaminants and strategic capping of some of the land.

Wolverine says the House Street site would be a benefit to the community once it is complete.

The second option would be a "30-acre cap" which would make the land mostly unusable.
