MAPLE GROVE, Michigan — A woman is dead after a crash in Maple Grove Township early Friday morning, according to the Barry County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said around 7:30 a.m. they responded to a crash at the intersection of M-66 Highway and Guy Road.
BCSO said the preliminary investigation shows that a Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling northeast on M-66 Highway when it veered off the road and hit a tree.
The driver, a 32-year-old Vermontville woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation, but deputies said drugs are believed to be a factor.
